Properties of flexible foam

Flexible foam impresses with its high elasticity, which ensures optimum cushioning and reliably absorbs shocks. It is temperature-resistant, sound-absorbing and harmless to health, which makes it versatile. Thanks to its flexible moldability, it adapts perfectly to different objects, while its durability and robustness ensure long-lasting protection. The soft padding effectively protects sensitive objects without damaging them.

Areas of application for soft foam insoles

Flexible foam inserts made of polyethylene or polyurethane foam have long been used for objects that could be damaged by shocks and impacts, for example

Precision manufacturing with modern machinery

We combine state-of-the-art production techniques with comprehensive expertise. Each inlay is individually developed to meet the specific requirements of our customers from a wide range of industries. Innovative processes and precise planning are used to create inlays that offer tailor-made perfection – even with complex contours. We also offer customized design options such as individual embossing & laser engraving. We take quality, security and presentation to a new level. Please ask for a sample insert.

Design variants

We manufacture foam inserts individually for each case. They can be individually combined, e.g. PU studded foam for the lid and thermoformed inserts or hard foam inlays for the interior of the case. We manufacture our soft foam inserts in dark gray in the following versions:

Sustainability of our soft foam insoles

Soft foam inserts are very resistant and robust, making them particularly durable. This reduces production costs and waste. With our ORGANICLINE range of foams, you can act even more sustainably. ORGANICLINE uses ARBOBLENDยฎ, which is largely made from renewable raw materials. Like traditional foam inserts, the sustainable foam is also fully recyclable.

Frequently asked questions about soft foam insoles

Soft foam inserts are not suitable for transporting or storing items that come into contact with chemical substances, as the material is less robust and not resistant to solvents. They are also unsuitable for items that are subject to strict hygiene requirements, as the foam can only be disinfected to a limited extent. In addition, the objects embedded in the foam should not be too heavy, as the high elasticity of the material can cause the inlay to deform and impair the protective effect. Hard foam inlays tend to be used for tool sets, e.g. screwdrivers, files or chisels as well as for bits, Torx and the like.

Our soft foam inserts are available in dark gray or black – for a discreet, elegant and serious impression. Our hard foams offer you a larger selection of colors.

Soft foam inserts are versatile, but there are also applications for which they are less suitable. One major disadvantage is durability: soft foam can wear out more quickly with intensive use, such as in a workshop or when storing tools such as screwdrivers, pliers or chisels. With heavy tools in particular, the foam can lose its shape and no longer provide the necessary support.

Soft foam inserts are often less robust when it comes to cleaning, which limits their possible uses. In addition, soft foam inserts are not ideal for use with tool sets for Torx and bits or socket wrench inserts, which are often used in workshop trolleys or on workbenches. Here, the flexibility of the foam could compromise tidiness and accessibility.
